Money

USD are accepted in most places in Kenya and 50USD is required in cash for your visa. Generally we advise you stick with the local currency wherever possible: Kenyan shillings, KES. It is very useful to have small denominations for shopping and tipping. There are plenty of ATM’s in airports, local towns and cities. All major credit cards are widely accepted, in particular, Visa and MasterCard.
